Meta announced it is introducing a conversation focus feature to amplify the sound of a speaker’s voice in noisy environments, for customers who are part of its Early Access Program for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN in the U.S. and Canada.
The conversation focus setting uses the open-ear speakers on the AI glasses to amplify the speaker’s voice so they can be heard at a volume higher than that of the ambient background noise.
The v21 software update also includes Spotify integration, which Meta called its “first multimodal AI music experience” for those who have the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses. By saying, “Hey Meta, play a song to match this view,” and looking at something, the wearer can prompt the creation of a tailored Spotify playlist.
The social media giant further announced it was rolling out Telugu and Kannada language support on its Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley HSTN AI glasses to expand access to Meta AI across India.
Meta noted that the Spotify feature was available only in English in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, UK, and the U.S..
Meta suggested that users who wanted to access the latest features as soon as possible could consider joining the Early Access programme.
