Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G in India

Xiaomi on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) launched its first batch of products in 2026 under its sub-brand Redmi featuring Note 15 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G in India.

Staring at the rising memory costs, the Chinese smartphone company stretched the price of its ‘affordable’ Note series this year by some margin.

Redmi Note 15 5G has a 6.77 inch curved AMOLED display with 3,200 nits of peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone is IP66 rated for dust and splash resistance.

Redmi Note 15 5G ships with a 5,520 mAh battery along with a 45W charger inside the box.

Redmi Note 15 5G runs on Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage. It operates on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box.

Redmi Note 15 5G sports a 108 MP main camera along with an 8 MP ultrawide lens. It has a 20 MP front camera.

Redmi Note 15 5G starts at ₹19,999 for 8 GB/128 GB variant, and ₹21,999 for 8 GB/256 GB model. It will be available from January 9 onwards across online and offline stores.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G comes with a 12.1 inch 2.5K display having a 120 Hz refresh rate, 600 nits high peak brightness and Dolby Vision support. The Pad 2 Pro is compatible with stylus and keyboard as well.

The tablet ships with a 12,000 mAh battery and a 33W charger inside the box. It also supports 27W reverse charging. It comes with quad speakers for audio with Dolby Atmos support.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G runs on Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and HyperOS 2. The tablet comes with gen AI features like circle to search along with Gemini AI.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G sports an 8 MP rear and an 8 MP front camera.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G starts at ₹22,999 for 8 GB/128 GB Wi-Fi variant. The 8 GB/128 GB model with Wi-Fi and 5G costs ₹25,999 and ₹27,999 for 8 GB/256 GB. The sale starts January 12 on Flipkart, Amazon, Mi and retail stores.
