Samsung on Thursday (January 8, 2026) showcased its first-ever trifolfing smartphone, the Samsung Z TriFold, to the media. The South Korean electronics brand had launched it last year in select markets and is selling the device there.

Samsung’s Z TriFold shines with a 10-inch 2x AMOLED display, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness, while the cover remains a 6.5-inch LTPO AMOLED with similar refresh rate, but 2,600 nits peak brightness. The inward-folding phone carries a weight of 309 grams.

Surprisingly, Samsung has packed a 45W charger inside the box of the TriFold, which holds a 5,600 mAh battery divided across the three panels.

The Z TriFold runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The trifold sports a 200 MP main camera along with a 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 10 MP telephoto sensor. The cover and the main display have a 10 MP selfie camera each.

With the Z TriFold, Samsung aims to test the waters in India with different use cases and also obtain feedback. It will be analysing the market as well, if at all it is ready to accept a triple-folding phone.

However, it appears that Samsung has decided to not launch the Z TriFold in India as of now. As far as pricing is concerned, Samsung sells the Z TriFold at AED 11,999 in UAE, which is around ₹2,93,629.
